As a wedding photographer, every love story is unique and special, and Zach and Sofia’s wedding was no exception. The magical journey of capturing their big day, filled with love, joy, and beautiful moments, was an absolute honor.

Zach and Sofia’s story began at UMass Amherst, where they first crossed paths in a college class. I had the honor of meeting them through my husband who attended business school with Zach. Sofia and I became fast friends. I was so overjoyed when they asked me to be their wedding photographer.
Forever After
Fast forward to their wedding day, I couldn’t contain my excitement! The setting was perfect – a beachfront wedding with a palette of blush pink, a stunning bride in a lacy white dress, and a groom adorned with a yarmulke and tux.
The day started at the Salem Waterfront Hotel, where Zach and Sofia prepared for the celebration of a lifetime. Sofia’s dress, adorned with floral applique, was nothing short of elegant. The bridesmaids, in matching blush pink, complemented the overall romantic theme. Sofia, with flowers braided in her hair, looked like a vision of pure joy.
The weather played its part flawlessly – not too hot or too cold, just perfect for a beach wedding. The venue, Oceanview of Nahant in Nahant, MA, offered breathtaking views of sailboats passing by and the blue waters, creating a picturesque backdrop for the celebration of love.
The couple decided to have a first look and exchanged private vows in a small garden in Salem before making their way to the venue. The old-fashioned trolley ride added a touch of nostalgia as they headed towards the Oceanview of Nahant.
The ceremony was a blend of tradition and personal touches. A Jewish wedding, incorporating a traditional ketubah signing, involved their grandparents, adding layers of depth to the celebration. The beach-themed ceremony area, adorned with seashells and bright whites, created a beautiful and serene atmosphere. Underneath a flower covered chuppah, Zach and Sofia exchanged vows, surrounded by the love of their families.
Family photos, portraits, and a beautiful sunset photoshoot on the pebble beach followed, capturing the essence of their special day. The attention to detail was evident, with beach-themed specialty cocktails. I laughed that the groom’s cocktail included its own gummy shark!
As the night unfolded, the celebration continued with a last dance under the stars on the beach. Zach and Sofia, alone in their magical moment, with their families looking down from the balcony, created a touching memory that will last a lifetime.
Adding a unique touch to the end of the night, Zach and Sofia’s love for their dog Milo became evident. Though Milo couldn’t attend, they incorporated him into the celebration by giving out stickers featuring Milo as party favors. It was a heartfelt gesture that showcased their love not only for each other but also for their furry family member.
Being a part of Zach and Sofia’s wedding was not just about capturing moments but also about sharing in the joy of their love story.
